The arrival of ‘Twenty: 20’ has deterred the prospects of every other films in the theatres, especially Malayalam films. The movie is undoubtedly the clear favourite among masses without any negative word of mouth. The top five list of the weekend are:

1. ‘Twenty: 20’ - The magnum opus from AMMA-the mother of all multistarrers with a big cast line of 65 stars, five heroes and almost all heroines of Mollywood has taken the industry and trade circuits by storm. The movie has already collected around 3 crores from two days, which itself is a record. Expected to clear off every existing records, the movie is destined to collect at least a clear 15-20 crores from the state itself.

2. Kurukshetra - At number 2 is the Mohanlal’s war sage 'Kurukshetra'. This Major Ravi movie entering its fifth week is heavily affected in collections by AMMA's multistarrer and is continuing in theatres with a collection around 40-50 percent in metros. This big budgeted movie, which was expected to make a free run towards a super hit will now end up being a mere hit.

3. Quantum of Solace - James bond's new avatar in ‘Quantum of Solace’ was released this week in 35 centers. In the major metros, the movie registers interesting collections, but in lesser centers the first day itself was weak.

4. Mayabazaar - Mammootty's Ramzan movie is entering its sixth week, but in a very few centers. The wide release of this T A Rasaaq flick, has helped to lessen the big losses. But the movie may not escape from being a loser to its distributors, primarily due to its non releasing in the A centers in the first week. With the movie also ending up as a loser, it is the continuous two from Mammootty after his recent flop in 'Parunthu'.

5. Veruthe Oru Bharya – Jayaram’s comeback movie will celebrate its hundred days, next week in select theatres. The weekends have the 50-60 percent collections in metro cities, while the shifting centers also show good feed backs. The movie is in fact the second biggest earner of the year, after 'Annan Thampi'.

Also in the theatres are Faschion, Golmaal Returns, Renjith's ‘Thirakkatha’, ‘Parthan Kanda Paralokam’ and Tamil movies, 'Dhanam' ‘Saroja' and 'Kathalil Vizhunthen'.
